Maintenance Worker Hurt In Townhouse Explosion

One person was injured in a home explosion at a townhouse in Douglasville, according to the Douglas County Fire Department. The incident happened at the Laura’s Manor complex on Dorsett Street around 3 p.m. The owner of the complex told Channel 2’s Ross Cavitt the unit was unoccupied but identified the victim as a maintenance worker. News Chopper 2 flew over the scene as firefighters doused hot spots from a fire after the explosion. The victim was taken to Grady Hospital to be treated for serious burns, firefighters said.
