Maintenance worker severely injured in accident with garbage truck

A maintenance worker was severely injured Monday morning in an accident involving a garbage truck. He was identified as 70-year-old Xuan Van Ho. Officials said the man was cleaning out one of the garbage trucks when the rear hydraulic door closed on him. He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where he is still listed in critical condition. The incident happened just before 8 a.m. at the City of St. Petersburg Sanitation Compound on 20th Avenue N.
