Maryland State Police in Rockville say an unidentified white tractor-trailer made an unsafe lane change that triggered Monday morning’s crash on southbound I-270 in Germantown.
Sgt. Adam Matthai was on the scene of the accident that involved 16 vehicles shortly after 5 a.m. He said witnesses said the truck moved into the far right lane of the four-lane highway, causing another vehicle to lose control and trigger the crash.
