Medical Condition Causes Driver To Veer Into Pole
Wednesday, January 21st, 2015 Auto LiabilityOne person was injured after veering off the road and hitting a utility pole Tuesday. At 5:01 p.m. Tuesday, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene of a one-vehicle crash where William Berns, 50, of Spring Lake was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer eastbound on Savage. Berns then veered across the westbound lanes and hit a utility pole on the northeast corner of the intersection. Berns was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
