Chain saws continued to buzz throughout south Macon neighborhoods Monday as hard-hit residents attacked the massive tree trunks in their yards and homes. Snapped power poles were a common sight as residents moved carefully through barely passable side streets, often driving over downed lines. Thousands of people remained without power Monday evening and the National Weather Service confirmed that a single tornado ranged from Lizella to Dry Branch during Sunday morning storms.
