Thursday, June 2nd, 2005 Property

Over 1,000 people were forced from their homes that overlook the Pacific Ocean after a massive landslide struck a wealthy community about 50 miles southeast of Los Angeles. At least 17 homes, each worth at least $1.5 million and some several times that, were destroyed. The cause of the slide is still uncertain as the investigation continues, but experts say that abundant rain may have been a signifigant factor.
