Tuesday, November 28th, 2006 — The Mississippi Insurance Department will begin reviews of Hurricane Katrina claims handling by insurance companies, starting with State Farm Insurance Company. According to Insurance Commissioner George Dale, State Farm was selected to be first because they have written more policies on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast than any other insurer.
