Myrtle Beach area fire closes in on burnout

With the wildfire that devoured woods and homes in Horry County now 98 percent contained, fire crews from around the state returned home Monday and a statewide burning ban was lifted, officials said. Insurance officials have surveyed the damage and estimated that claims related to the fire will top $25 million, according to the S.C. Insurance News Service.
