NC Woman Arrested for Allegedly Filing False Insurance Claim

Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin today announced the arrest of Ambre Rivera, 26, of 5329 Ramsey St., Fayetteville; she was charged with one count of obtaining property by false pretense. Department of Insurance criminal investigators allege that Rivera filed a false police report stating that a wedding ring and several credit cards were stolen from her residence. Investigators accuse Rivera of retaining possession of those items while filing a fraudulent insurance claim with USAA Insurance Company for which she was paid $1,250.
