Newborn Suffers Burns From Hospital Equipment

Monday, May 9th, 2016 Liability Litigation

A Middle Tennessee family said their newborn daughter suffered serious burns after a piece of equipment at the hospital malfunctioned.Apparently a screw fell out of a heat lamp and onto the baby, leaving serious burns on her neck and chest.
“My baby shouldn’t have had to go through that,” said Sean Boyd, the baby’s father. Aminah Boyd had only been in the world a few hours when this happened. “I guess her temperature was too low and they tried to do the skin to skin with the mom, but it didn’t work. So they wanted to put her under the heater,” Boyd said.
