It was definitely a tornado that hit Wetumpka on Saturday, and early indications are it was a high-end EF2, according to the National Weather Service. The weather service cautioned that the storm survey -- one of several on Sunday -- was still ongoing, but preliminary estimates put the tornado’s winds at 135 mph. Survey teams also found EF1 tornado damage near Booth in Autauga County, a storm that was blamed for two injuries, EF1 damage near Tyler in Dallas County, and a third EF1 tornado track just southeast of Rockford in Coosa County. Details on those storms are still to come. That makes for a total of four tornadoes from Saturday’s storms.
