One dead after train collides with truck

One person is dead and another hospitalized after a Union Pacific Railroad train collided with a truck in Jefferson County Tuesday morning. The accident was reported just after 8 a.m. on tracks along Highway 90 just west of Beaumont. This near the Elks Lodge. A DPS trooper on the scene confirmed to 12News that one person is dead. The trooper said the truck, belonging to T & D Solutions, was pulling a crane on a trailer. Truck went over the tracks, but the trailer got stuck and was hit by the train.
