One dead in accident involving school bus and police cruiser
Friday, April 19th, 2013 AutoOne woman is dead and an Essex police officer was taken to the hospital following a crash that shut down Route 2A in Essex for hours Wednesday night. Police say 54-year-old Rosemary Hollwedel of Essex rear-ended a moving school bus carrying the tennis team from Essex High School. No one on the bus was hurt. After that minor crash, police say Hollwedel crossed the center line into the path of an oncoming police cruiser. The two hit head on. Hollwedel was thrown from the vehicle as it flipped over. She died at the scene.
