Overnight Fire Consumes Home Under Construction

A house caught fire early Tuesday morning on the 1400 block of Fairacre Lane Southwest off of 15th Street in Willmar. The Willmar Fire Department says a neighbor and a passerby reported the fire around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, firefighters found the home engulfed in flames. The Fire Department deemed the home a total loss. The home is under construction, and no one was at the residence at the time of the fire. A Fire Department news release says the owner had not moved into the building yet.
