Possible Tornado Causes Extensive Damage On Kent Island, Maryland

Monday, July 24th, 2017 Auto Property

Homes were damaged and about 8,000 residents in Queen Anne’s County are without power Monday morning after a severe storm — possibly a tornado — left a path of damage in the Stevensville area of Kent Island overnight. A line of severe storms brought heavy rain — creating flash flooding situations in Carroll, Baltimore and Harford counties — and strong wind to areas of central Maryland. Kent Island appears to have been hit the hardest, with daybreak revealing significant damage to homes and property in the Bay City area of Stevensville, on the western shore of the island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay.
