Tuesday, December 21st, 2010 Property

Recent research conducted on behalf of Halifax Home Insurance has found that pre-Christmas party drinks in the home are responsible for a rising number of insurance claims and are costing the industry millions every year. The study revealed that the most common damage reported to insurance companies was spillages of beauty products. Make-up accidents were responsible for 17% of reported mishaps, while fake tan and hair dye were 11%, and the notoriously difficult to remove nail varnish was involved in 8% of reported damage to the home.
