More than 5.2 million Southern Californians have registered to "duck, cover and hold" today during the largest simulation of a major earthquake ever staged. Students, businesses and government agencies will be preparing for a magnitude-7.8 earthquake along the San Andreas Fault, from the Salton Sea to Ventura County. Such an earthquake would have 50 times the strength of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake.
