— A strong line of thunderstorms with wind gusts of up to 82 mph raked portions of west Texas for a second night Wednesday. The Texas Office of Emergency Services said minor structural damage had been reported in Kent County from straight-line winds. Ron McQueen, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Lubbock, said wind damage had been reported in the small town of Anton, just to the northwest of Lubbock.
