Snow Load Collapses Fargo Office Building Roof

Thursday, March 7th, 2019 Excess & Surplus Lines Property

Weight from snow accumulation caused the roof of a south Fargo office building to cave in late Monday, March 4. The Fargo Fire Department was alerted to a fire alarm at the Goldmark Office Park, 1715 Gold Drive S., near 25th Street South, just before midnight Monday. The building is the former site of a technology company office and has been vacant for some time. No injuries were reported. The exterior of the building shows evidence of brick collapsing. A significant part of the roof caved in from what the fire department said was a heavy snow load. The collapse also broke pipes and the sprinkler system caused water damage.
