Hundreds of Floridians want to opt out of a proposed $53 million federal settlement over faulty Chinese drywall in hopes of pursuing lawsuits in state courts. Attorneys representing the Florida homeowners planned Wednesday to detail the cases and importance of an upcoming hearing. A hearing later this week before a Broward County judge could determine if the Floridians can reject the federal deal.
