Spring Fever To Have New Meaning In Much Of Nation
Friday, March 17th, 2006 PropertyThe Southwest, ravaged by winter drought and wildfire, is unlikely to get a spring break. That region and about half the USA are expected to be drier and warmer than usual through June, the National Weather Service said Thursday in its seasonal outlook. The service also warned that a persistent La Niña weather pattern across the southern third of the continent could make hurricane season more active than normal though not as severe as last year.
