The National Weather Service confirmed Saturday that a tornado caused major damage in parts of Massachusetts and resulted in a report of an injury. A tornado warning was issued for parts of Worcester County Saturday morning and lasted through 10:45 a.m. to include eastern areas such as Upton and Webster, as well as parts of Middlesex County. NWS meteorologists report that a twister with estimated wind speeds between 100 and 110 tracked from Dudley into Webster between 9:55 a.m. and 10 a.m. The tornado was rated a "high-end EF-1."
