Wednesday, May 25th, 2005 — More than half of all Florida homeowners participating in a recent statewide survey have taken precautions to make sure that their homes will be protected from hurricanes this season. An even larger number of those surveyed recognized the importance of the state’s building codes in reducing property losses from these events, however many of those questioned think the codes should be even stronger.
