SUV Crashes Into Lewiston Canal

Lewiston police say a woman lost control of her SUV driving down Lisbon Street and ended up crashing into a nearby canal Tuesday morning. Police said witnesses told them 24-year-old Stacie Farrell of Auburn was driving down the hill on Lisbon Street toward downtown Lewiston when she tried avoid a vehicle leaving a gas station, lost control, hit a curb, went airborne and landed in the canal. Police said Farrell climbed out of the vehicle on her own.
