A Fort Worth officer was hit by a car and is now in the hospital. It happened Tuesday night while officers were responding to a call about a couch in the middle of Interstate 30 near Summit Boulevard. They were trying to set up cones and road flares when a vehicle came over the hill and struck the officer. Cpl. Tracy Knight with the Fort Worth Police Department said the driver did stop to help. He was with his wife and child at the time and appeared very distraught.
