Thieves Nab Professional Street Racer’s Car, Pickup And Trailer

Professional street racer David "Bird" Jones is asking for the public’s help to find his stolen car, pickup truck and flat bed trailer. The items were stolen from a Comfort Inn parking lot in Forest Hill, Jones said. Jones believes his 1967 Camaro, 2015 Maxey air ride 36’ flat bed trailer, and 2002 Ford F-250 were stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Jones spent Saturday evening at a car show with a friend in Waco and dropped him off in Fort Worth. Jones started to drive home, but felt tired. "I was wore out and I needed a couple of hours of sleep," Jones said. "I woke up, used the restroom, looked out the window and it was gone."
