A fire at a Bel Air duplex early Sunday slightly injured three people, including one firefighter and left two families homeless, emergency services officials said. All three of those injured were treated and released from the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. The two-alarm fire, reported about 1 a.m., was on Old Lake Drive and brought out more than a dozen companies from two states to fight the blaze. Damage reports were unavailable Sunday. A separate fire occurred Sunday at the LaVale Lions Club barbecue building on Braddock Road. The blaze was reported about 8:30 a.m. as club members were preparing chicken to sell for the September barbecue.
