The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Miami County early Monday. Peak winds of the storm hit 85 mph. Trinity Lutheran Church outside of Paola was damaged. The church had recently added onto the building’s north side. "We just built a large, new north wing. We added that about six months ago. Last night, God decided to take the south wing away from us," the Rev. Kevin Vogts said. No one was hurt. While the storm blew the roof away, a pitcher of water was unmoved, so was a picture of Jesus on the wall. "It was crazy. But it is a reminder of how he was looking out for us," Paola resident Margo Rodewald said.
