The Oklahoma Insurance Department says nearly 71,000 insurance claims have been filed after central Oklahoma was raked by a series of violent tornadoes last month. Insurance Commissioner John Doak says insurance payments from the storms have topped $560 million. Doak announced plans Tuesday to hold a series of weekly forums for storm victims to allow those impacted by the storms to ask questions and receive assistance with insurance-related issues.
