Tornadoes, strong winds slam Midwest
Thursday, October 4th, 2007 Catastrophe PropertyStrong winds blew out several car windows at the Des Moines airport Tuesday and also downed power lines and trees in Wayne County, officials said. The National Weather Service was still assessing damage Tuesday night and was unsure whether the damage was caused by a tornado. No injuries were reported, said Brad Fillbach, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Des Moines.
