State police are investigating a crash involving a Greyhound bus and a passenger car in North Stonington that sent several people to the hospital. The crash occurred near the Wheeler Middle and High School around 8 p.m., according to Chief Charles Steinhart, of the North Stonington Fire Company. Fire officials said the bus and a passenger car collided, trapping the woman who was driving the car. She had to be extricated and was transported to Backus Hospital. Her passenger was also transported.
