Toyota has agreed to pay $10 million to settle the lawsuit brought by the family of a California state trooper and three relatives whose fatal car wreck helped spark the automaker’s wide-ranging safety recall. The amount of the settlement, reached in September, initially was undisclosed, but a judge on Monday denied a motion by both sides to keep the sum confidential, and two lawyers connected with the case revealed the amount on Thursday.
