One person is dead after a train struck a car Thursday night in Webster County. The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on County Road Hays Avenue about seven miles west-southwest of Fort Dodge. Seventy-four-year-old Sheryl Parks of rural Ft. Dodge was headed northbound on Hayes Avenue when her Toyota Camry entered the railroad right of way and was hit by a Union Pacific train at the crossing.
