Tropical Storm Don spins in the Gulf of Mexico

Forecasters expanded a tropical storm watch along the Texas coast early Thursday as Tropical Storm Don made its way into the central Gulf of Mexico. The fourth named storm of the 2011 Atlantic hurricane season was about about 635 miles (1025 km) east-southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas, at 5 a.m. ET, the National Hurricane center said. It was moving to the west-northwest at nearly 10 mph (17 kph).
