Volunteer Firefighter’s Home Goes Up In Flames

A father who has volunteered to fight fires for four decades answered the call when his own home went up in flames. His friends and family contacted KCTV5 asking for help to spread the word that they are rallying to support the firefighter and loved ones. Everything inside volunteer firefighter Gale Claypole’s family’s home is burned or covered in thick soot. They are on a mission to rebuild the house they’ve made memories in for almost 29 years. The couple’s two oldest grandchildren were home when the fire started on April 8.
