Thursday, December 4th, 2014 Property

A huge slide is threatening to change the course of the Pilchuck River near Snohomish, and possibly take a home along with it. But the homeowners aren’t just sitting back and waiting for the slide to take their dream home. The homeowners were given a limited use tag by county inspectors Tuesday because the slide is now 54 feet from their garage. "This is the home eating cliff," said Teresa Shaw. For two years, a huge slide has been developing behind her home, which is 200 feet down to the Pilchuck River. She figures she’s lost about 30-40 feet of her land so far, and she can hear and feel it move.
