— At 8 a.m. ET, Ernesto’s center was located about 50 miles east-southeast of Naples, Fla. It was moving north about 8 mph and maximum sustained winds were 40 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. Forecasters said Ernesto could weaken to a tropical depression later Wednesday, but that rainbands could dump as much as 10 inches of rain in some spots along Florida’s east coast. Miami was still under a tropical storm watch, a tornado watch and a flood watch Wednesday morning, with light rain and wind gusts of 23 mph.
