West Virginia Residents Accused of Arson Scheme

Four West Virginia residents have been accused of burning a Harrison County home to collect more than $171,000 in insurance money. The state Fire Marshal’s Office said warrants filed in Harrison County Court charge the four with arson, burning insured property and conspiracy. George and Rebecca Bonnell are accused of hiring Chad E. Cook to set fire to their home in the Laurel Valley area in 2011. The Bonnells and Samuel “Joey” Oldaker were arrested Friday and released after posting bond.
