White House: Taxpayers To Foot Bill For Katrina Rebuilding
Friday, September 16th, 2005 Catastrophe PropertyAfter the speech given by President Bush on Thursday, Al Hubbard, director fo Bush’s National Economic Council stated that financing the rebuilding the New Orleans will be "coming from the American Taxpayer." As many expected, taxpayers will pay for the Hurricane Katrina reconstruction program outlined by President Bush, which is now estimated to cost more than $200 billion.
