The dry winter that has struck many of the states in the northern Rockie Mountains has experts warning of a possible bad fire season for the area. Although snow and rain have helped several areas in the Rocky Mountain range such as Colorado, areas that have been suffering from the drought such as Wyoming and South Dakota may see a very fire laden season. Residents living in these areas are encouraged to help protect their homes from any fire claims by clearing their gutters, moving woodpiles, and keeping other flammable material away from the home.
