Thursday, October 9th, 2008 — The state wind insurance pool today lowered its projected claims from Hurricane Ike to $2.7 billion, down from $4.2 billion last month. The projection allowed the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association board to delay at least until the end of the year any further assessments on the insurance companies that help fund it.
