A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
When it is safe to do so, please report flooding threatening roads
or property to the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg
by calling toll free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1, by posting on our
Facebook page, or via Twitter using hashtag NWSGSP. Your message
should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the
depth of flooding observed.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* At 1051 PM EDT, Stream gauge reports indicated steady rises from
recent heavy rainfall along Mallard Creek at Pavilion Boulevard
near Harrisburg, indicative of minor flooding developing near the
PNC Music Pavilion parking lot and in low-lying areas along
Pavilion Boulevard. These rises typically precede rapid stream
level rises along the Rocky River above Irish Buffalo Creek south
of Concord. Flooding is expected to develop in this, and
downstream areas toward Midland, through midnight.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Downtown Concord, Northeast Charlotte, West Concord, Harrisburg,
Mt Pleasant, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Midland and University
City. Flooding is most likely in low areas along Pavilion
Boulevard near Harrisburg, Back Creek near Pharr Mill Road south
of Concord, and low lying areas along Muddy Creek near Midland.
