FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON...
.The combination of near record warmth and windy and dry
conditions will produce critical fire weather conditions across
southeastern New Mexico, the Guadalupe Mountains, and the upper
Trans Pecos region of west Texas. Onset of these conditions will
be late Tuesday morning and will persist through the afternoon
hours.

VERY DRY AND WINDY CONDITIONS FOR SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO...THE
UPPER TRANS PECOS...CULBERSON COUNTY...AND THE FOOTHILLS OF THE
DAVIS MOUNTAINS...
* AFFECTED AREA...Loving, Sacramento Foothills and Guadalupe
Mountains, Chaves Plains, Eddy Plains, Lea, Guadalupe
Mountains Above 7000 Feet, Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains,
Van Horn and Highway 54 Corridor, Eastern Culberson County,
Reeves County Plains and Davis Mountains Foothills.
* TIMING...Late Tuesday morning/Tuesday afternoon.
* WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. In the
Guadalupe Mountains: West 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 55 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent.
* RFTI...4-5 or critical.
* IMPACTS...Observe local burn bans. Avoid the use of open flames
or any activities that may generate sparks. Do not toss lit
cigarettes from vehicles as this can produce wildland fires.
