Total snow accumulations between 9 and 15 inches, sleet accumulations around one third of an inch and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, Far Northern, and North Woods Maine * WHEN...From 7 PM Wednesday to 1 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below one quarter mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
