ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS CONTINUE FRIDAY...
Anomalously warm temperatures and dry conditions will continue
today, especially across the interior where temperatures will warm
into the upper 80s and low 90s as minimum RH values drop to
between 20-30%. While winds will be less breezy than days past,
persistent dry antecedent conditions and low relative humidity
values are the driving factors for elevated fire weather concerns
today.
The primary threat for fire weather concerns will be during the
morning hours for eastern Massachusetts before a wind shift to
the east causes temperatures to drop and RH values to rise
dramatically this afternoon. Temperatures will remain consistently
warm and RH values low across western Massachusetts, Rhode
Island, and Connecticut, where fire weather concerns will be
heightened all day.
