ELEVATED RISK OF WILDFIRE SPREAD INTO EARLY THIS EVENING...
Relative humidity values are around 20 percent this afternoon
into early this evening in far southern New Jersey. The winds will
be north-northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph.
These weather conditions in combination with the recent stretch of
dry weather will continue to result in an elevated risk for the
spread of wildfires into early this evening.
Use extra caution if handling any potential ignition source, such
as machinery, or cigarettes and matches. Be sure to properly
discard all smoking materials. Any dry grasses, dead leaves, or
other tree litter that ignite will have the potential to spread
fire quickly.
