In west central Virginia, Roanoke. * WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 501 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Roanoke River, Calhoun Run, Flatwoods Branch, Big Bear Rock Branch, Dry Branch, Lick Fork, Elliott Creek, Brake Branch, Brush Creek, Eckels Branch, Georges Run, Bonys Run and North Fork Roanoke River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
