Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you
can do so safely. Flooding can be reported to the National Weather
Service at 1-800-685-8612.
FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...In north central Wisconsin, Price County. In northwest
Wisconsin, Ashland, Sawyer and Washburn Counties.
* WHEN...Until 400 AM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 952 PM CDT Wednesday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain
due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3.5
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area, with the greatest additional rainfall over
eastern Sawyer and northern Price counties. That area is east
of a line from Loretta to Winter to Exeland and includes
Phillips and Park Falls. The additional rain will result in
minor flooding.

Spooner, Park Falls, Hayward, Chippewa Flowage East, Chippewa
Flowage West, Phillips, Shell Lake, Round Lake, Trego,
Fifield, Minong, Stone Lake, Birchwood, Butternut, Winter,
Radisson, Exeland, Couderay, New Post and Chief Lake on
Chippewa Flowage.
