A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BROOME... SOUTHEASTERN TIOGA...NORTHWESTERN SUSQUEHANNA AND NORTHEASTERN BRADFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM EDT... At 355 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Windham, or 13 miles northeast of Towanda, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Vestal, Endicott, Owego, Orwell, Windham, Rome, Le Raysville, Little Meadows, Friendsville, and Apalachin. This includes the following highway exits... Interstate 86/Route 17 between 64 and 66, and near 67 South. MAX HAIL SIZE...0.25 IN MAX WIND GUST...50 MPH
