FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In
southeast Kentucky, Bell, Clay, Harlan, Jackson, Knox and Leslie.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A cluster or two of showers and thunderstorms will slowly
move through southeast Kentucky into early afternoon.
Combined with spots of heavy rains from Wednesday these
clusters pose a threat for flash flooding.
